SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed regarding the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider position developed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to empower the servicing of all buyers sassa status and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
